International conferences on neglected and underutilized species  [1] are surprisingly recent additions to the global agricultural events calendar. Since 2008, three such conferences have been held to share research findings and discuss development and policy needs.
Most recently, the 3rd International Conference on Neglected and Underutilized Species: For a Food-Secure Africa (NUS2013)  took place in Accra, Ghana in September 2013, organized by Bioversity International, the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Ghana, and the International Foundation for Science (IFS), Sweden, jointly with a range of partners and donors.  Check out the NUS2013 conference page below to access presentations, highlights and documents from the event.
