Conservation and use of neglected and underutilized species in Brazil: a new publication

On-Farm Conservation

An article has been published in Sustainability journal that documents efforts to conserve and enhance the use of agricultural biodiversity in Brazil. The article describes the integrated in situ/ex situ approach that has been taken by EMBRAPA to secure the conservation of Brazil's rich biocultural heritage. It traces the roots of the vast agricultural biodiversity found in the country to the environmental and cultural diversity of the region, which has been colonized by a wide range of immigrants through history.

The open-access article can be accessed on the journal webpage.
